House would have reacted the same way were he in her position though. That's what made him something of a hypocrite. He could always dish it out but sometimes he couldn't take it. Of course, he'd never let anyone know that he couldn't take it because then his reputation as the mean old nosy doctor wouldn't exist. It would fly out the window. And then people could mock him and find ways to not let him steal opiates.
And that would be bad. Because opiates were good! And lack of opiates was very very bad.
Scared of answering a few teeny-tiny questions? How bad could it get? Sure, he might ask her about her last menstrual cycle and follow it up with an invitation to get a drink, but was that all so bad?
