Well, everyone in the building that she was in had been largely unhelpful thus far. She'd spoken to a few people over something called the internet and she'd found out that she was out of her time, and apparently people could communicate through a small box with letters and numbers. She had no idea how she was going to get used to this. People were laughing at her clothes, and she didn't know why. Everything was so strange to her.
She didn't want to stay in the building, she wasn't getting answers there. She shook her head when people gawked at her weapons, and she walked outside, about to cross the street. She was almost hit by some kind of metallic carriage but it didn't have any horses. Wow, she was confused. She stepped back so she didn't get hit and drew her sword.
What kind of world was this? She was a little shaky. The woman had said it was 2005, Elizabeth still didn't know how that was possible. This was not her world, and she needed to get some help before she tried to get around in it. This was like some kind of nightmare, and she'd dealt with ghost pirates and weird sea creatures, so that was saying something.
"What strange world is this?" She found herself asking allowed.
