"Fair enough," Max said, and then shut up for another moment so that she could finish typing the current sequence. It was long and because she had to make it readable for this 'current' technology, it took her slightly longer than normal.
She licked her lips while she worked, almost wishing she hadn't sent away that room service attendant a few hours before. That burger was sounding nice right now.
Though, better than victory against this system a second time? Max thought not and a grin came to her face when her coding led to success. She wrenched control of the system and almost immediately entered in a password of her own so that, for the moment, Peter couldn't have it back.
"So, see, what your problem is--" Max started to explain, sitting back in the chair. "Well, what your problem with me is, this code can be cracked by the tech in my own time. For your present hacker types, I found one back door that would get me in using normal coding. I could rewrite everything using my coding which would pretty much lock it down. And I've picked up a few things from Tim-- Batman and Robin... stuff you don't have in either."
She was really bad at this secret identity thing, used to just being around Terry all the time, and even since being here Diana and Bart.
