Peter'd been sitting calmly in the Falcon, suppressing the urge to poke the walls and see if they were real. He'd watched the Jedi go, lightsabers humming to life, and waited. Then Mantis appeared. Peter widened his eyes, seeing Luke. He'd seen plenty of injuries before, plenty of violence. But this was a ten year old boy, dying before his eyes.
He wasn't sure enough of his healing ability to have the strength to heal both Luke and Leia, who was herself bleeding badly, particularly from a wound in her side. But he knew what could save Luke, and leave him the energy to aid Leia.
Peter nodded. "It's okay, Luke. I'm gonna help you feel better."
I can fix it, he sent back to Mantis, drawing a syringe from his inner pocket. Try and keep him calm as you can. Peter used telekinesis for a tourniquet, limiting blood flow to his left arm as he rolled up the sleeve of his shirt to expose the veins at his elbow. He gave the joint a few light slaps to draw up the vein. "Be with you in a moment, Your Highness," he said to Leia.
"Less talk, more helping," the Aldaarian princess replied, pressing her right hand against the wound in her side, the wounded left arm across her chest to keep her shirt somewhat closed. The trick with flying through the air had been disorienting, what with everything else. She would have liked to see Han, or to help the others kill the scum who'd done this, but seeing to Luke was the priority.
Peter uncapped the syringe and drove it into his own vein. With a bit of prodding, the vial filled with his blood. Leia watched, stunned, as the empath removed the filled needle and ever so gently lifted Luke's arm. He telekinetically lifted one of the boy's veins, energy moving thrugh his fingertips to dull Luke's pain receptoprs to the area. Peter inserted the needle, and injected his blood into Luke, removing the needle again quickly. "That should just take a minute." Probably less. They should see results almost instantly.
Then he turned to Leia. She wouldn't need such a drastic measure. "May I?" he said, lifting a hand towards her side.
Leia's eyes were wide, watching Luke. When addressed, she blinked, and looked at the scarred man. "Who are you?" she asked him.
"I'm Peter," he replied. "We're here to rescue you."
Another blink, and then the Aldaarian smirked. The words and delivery were reminiscent of what Luke had said to her on the original Death Star. I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you. Leia sat sharply beside him, and nodded. "Fine, Peter, but make it quick. I've got a scoundrel to find, and a Sith Lord to defeat."
