WHO: Sarah Williams, Death WHERE: Rainbow Room in North Hollywood WHEN: Saturday, May 21; evening WHAT: Karaoke! RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
Karaoke was underway by the time Sarah arrived, wearing green as she said she would, though it was early yet and she wasn't certain when the Wade from the message board would arrive. She considered sitting and watching for now, but as always just being near the almost palpable lack of inhibition that came with a karaoke crowd made her eager to get up and sing. She might not have made it on the stage as an actress, but she had a decent voice and, much like anyone, enjoyed the momentary spotlight that came with setting all cares aside and getting up there. Making a fool of herself had even proved fun in the past, rather than completely embarrassing.
Navigating the crowd, Sarah made her way to the side of the stage to get a spot and make a choice of song – or several, really, as she'd never gone a night without getting up there more than once. Being nearly ten years in the future made song choices slightly more difficult, so she searched for those she knew in a somewhat haphazard fashion as they came to mind.
'I Will Survive'? She was in the mood for it, but she didn't like the implications of it should her emphatically named 'creepy stalker' be watching somehow.
The Ghostbusters theme? Probably too obvious for this version of L.A.
'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'? Only good for a group and all her female friends were back in New York, a world away.
Debating several, she continued to mull over the song catalogue.
