Ever since Chloe had been taken by Lex Luthor all over again, Bizarro had spent a little more time away from his guard duty over at the Hyperion Hotel. He had been waiting for Luthor's response for a while now, and he was quickly growing impatient. He was trying to negotiate with the billionare and he was being ignored. And Bizarro? He hated being ignored. Lex should have been grateful that he hadn't walked into his mansion again and killed every security member that he had on duty like he did before. He was playing nice. Because of the human emotions that were slowly ripping their way through his system. It wasn't something that he was used to, and he got the feeling that he never really would be, but Bizarro had reached the point where he was capable of just dealing with them. It wasn't easy, but he had no other choice. But perhaps it was for the better. After all, Chloe had once despised him, as did Kal-El's cousin. Now they both interacted with him in a civil way, and Chloe had even gone out of her way to name him. Skylar. For guardian. He didn't really understand it all, but the place where his heart might have been sure did. He was wanted. Or at least respected.
So that was why he was doing this. Walking through the park like any other mortal, pretending to be a normal civilian while he was really out looking for trouble. To protect the species of this race. It was because they seemed to believe that he was capable of good, and there was a very big part of him that wanted to prove that he was more than a monster. But the monster would always live in him, no matter what anyone said or tried to convince themselves of. Bizarro knew that just as well as all of the rest.
A conversation. He picked noise up from somewhere off on his right, suddenly disturbing the quiet that he had been so used to before. Using his super hearing, Bizarro focused in on the noise and turned his head in that direction. Whatever was going on over there, it didn't seem pleasant. And so he moved, a dark blue blur hidden in the shadows, and came to a sudden halt near the bushes in which the man had been hurled into. Then he saw the girl moving down the path ahead of him. Dark hair, small figure, and hardly someone that Bizarro was ever going to be able to forget.
Something inside of him twisted angrily and he stepped forward onto the same path. Face neutral, Bizarro quickly opened his mouth and said, "I never would have guessed that you'd have been among the few to attack random people before. But then again, you tried to kill me, didn't you? Maybe I wasn't the only one keeping secrets."
