Damien listened with interest, as he finished the cream-covered cherries. So.. Dietrich knew a thing or two about courts. He nodded, saying with a shrug, "Well, it's a good thing I'm immune to all sorts of poisons, or I wouldn't be here right now." There was an accident years ago, when one of the P-84 fertilizer units at his work had let out toxic fumes. Made a bunch of school cadets sick, and an employee died horribly. But Damien? He hadn't been affected at all.
He frowned slightly, a finger in his mouth as he tasted what little vanilla was left on it. He'd clean the whole bowl, but thought better of it, since he had manners. And it was mostly done anyway. "Ohh, sorry to hear about that. Because this was really delicious." He wiped his mouth with the napkin, then his fingers. "I have had a bad experience as well about something, so I also tend to avoid almost anything associated with it."
He pulled out a credit card then. "Well.. I guess I'm done here. How about you? We can split the bill if you wish." He stood up. "Perhaps we could meet again? I must admit, your puppet skill is quite intriguing. Maybe I can learn a thing or two from you. Just leave a message on the board, or put a call to my room at the Sunset Tower Hotel. The manager knows me."
