Elaine’s lips tugged up when she saw Kara walking through the door with the pizza. That smile faltered a little when she overheard the remark about the teacher. Was that Wonder Woman? She inwardly flinched. She hadn’t met her yet but she seemed to know her and whatever the future expected her to, Elaine preferred to remain unaware for the time.
If Creation ended, all what she said wouldn’t matter because it would never have happened. That was how it went when a God wanted to tie everything up; they just went back to the rots and undid it. A sense of false security was the less she needed to cling herself into.
This trail of thought was suddenly becoming too serious. Relax. This is like a seven day. Nothing to do.
“Well, I accept your humble offerings, my faithful acolyte,” she teased, grinning. “This shall be eaten in my name.” She stood and pulled up a chair. “Put them here. We can sit on the bed or the floor while we watch the films…” she paused, reaching for the DVDs. “Mm, speaking of them… Which one should be? I went for classics. I hope that’s all right.”
