Elaine’s room was the number two in the Hyperion Hotel, between Angel’s and a woman she hadn’t introduced herself to yet. Both of them kept to themselves, it would seem. It looked far bigger from inside than it was originality. With a Television, DVD set and a radio in front of her bed and a desk full with books beside it. The floor was fully carpeted; she liked walking barefoot and feeling the brush of the rugs on her skin. That tickled.
The door was open, Elaine had recently returned from the closest Blockbuster, after spending time to subscribe there. The clerks were easily convinced she was twenty-one and with a steady job. Well, she was technically, older than she looked, so the false ID wasn’t lying and she paid for the films and was willing to return them intact.
She’d picked two thrillers, one was The Godfather and the other was The Silence of the Lambs. It would be Kara’s choice about which one they should watch tonight.
