Who: Wonder Woman and Poison Ivy What: Girl talk Where: An abandoned building and lot When: Around midnight, the day after Venom summons Ivy and Diana speaks with Peter Rating: PG for possible comic-y violence
A simple reconnitor told Diana that the building was indeed, an abandoned ruin, but she couldn't let Ivy indanger the humans still on the streets nearby. The doctor was clearly upset, but that was no excuse for having her creatures hurl debris at civilians.
She'd fought Ivy enough times to know where her sensitive side was. And it lay firmly with her 'babies', those plant life she identified more with. Circling in the air, Diana had no problem catching one of the lumbering masses in her lasso, as they were slow for their immense size. "Call them off, Ivy," Diana warned, tighting the loop enough that ichor dripped a little, and the creature gave a dull roar. "The building is one thing, but they are hurting the humans around here. Stop them, or I'll be forced to shred them into pieces right now."
Ivy furrowed her brow, crossed her arms and have out an audible pout. "Fine. So, what has your star spangled panties in a knot-- stopping a girl's night out like that.... jealous? Got kicked out of the Justice League?" She said, allowing mine moss to grow out around her feet, covering a nearby slab of concrete to give her a soft place to sit.
Since the creatures had stopped their wholesale destruction, Diana released it with her lasso, tentatively. It remained slumbering, so she floated down to the ground, level with Ivy. "Dr. Isley," she started, then amended it, more softly, with, "Pamela. I know what you are trying to do, what you always are attempting, to save the plant life here. It's a worthy goal...but you know you can't hurt the people here." She paused, hoping that tonight, when she too was feeling more lonely than ever and tired to boot, that this could all be resolved with words. "We're the only ones here, you know. No Justice League. Just...us."
