And I won't neglect my emotions
WHO: Nathan Petrelli and Claire Petrelli Bennet WHAT: Father and daughter bonding time. WHEN: Backdated to the 9th, after communicating on the boards, and after THIS. WHERE: Nate's hotel room (not like that!!) RATING: PG (13 at most) STATUS: COMPLETE.
Claire's life was nothing short of topsy-turvy since arriving in L.A. and every day seemed to bring a new challenge, the next step to get over. Her heart was constantly in a state of torn surrender, caught between uncles and self, loyalties and absolute devotion.
And then Nathan showed up. Her biological father whom she'd never known about up until recently, bringing with him the realization that her crush was now her uncle and her grandmother meant for other things. Claire was both apprehensive and relived to have her father here with her, with them, and she held onto a small hope that they could try to make things different here. They could try for family, for bonding, for a stronger relationship that she sometimes would daydream about during her adoptive days.
She wanted to look cute for Nathan, dressing and re-dressing at least three times before settling on a white dress with black netting, giving it a slate grey look. She curled the ends of her hair and chose to wear no make-up. She left her room in slow steps, counting them until she reached Nathan and Peter's not-so-far-at-all room and gently knocked. Why did she feel like she had to win his affection?
