Chloe… Lex wanted her back, wanted her safe and secure in the mansion, where she was supposed to be. He’d been so displeased when she was kidnapped, so upset when she was taken away, and Eddie, ever the suck-up, had told Lex Luthor that if he ever happened upon his lost wife, he would do his best to return her to him. And here she was, standing right in front of him. This was almost too easy. She was alone, unguarded and he had something to bait her with. The girl… He could use her to help him succeed in what he wanted to do, in what was bound to be done.
Venom tapped his slick, black fingers against his chest, drowned out the teenage sobs to the best of his ability and hoped that Mrs. Luthor would play nice and not make her return hard on him. “Maybe he doesn’t, but those are his children you’re pregnant with and I think that gives him a right to have you near,” said Venom, fingers stilling against the dark suit, fangs shrinking in his mouth.
“I can make you a deal.” He nodded his head at the victim on the ground, swept his eyes up to Chloe’s own. “It goes like this,” he told her, starting his advancement in her direction, steady even steps. “You can let me take you back to the mansion without struggle, or I can end the girl right here and now, while you watch. You can choose.”
