It was early, far too early to awake Alucard. Honestly, he would have protested if she took him out his coffin to play tourist like this. But it was necessary, she reasoned, for them to familiarise with this foreign city. Who knew what evils could be found in every public place. Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing snorted at the idea, fishing a cigar from her coat to have it lit. The bloody heat was unbearable but she refused to be caught death without her black trouser-suit, red cravat and silver cross pin. She grimaced at the mundane task of taking a taxi when she usually had her Rolls Royce to drive her to her destinations.
Seras should be successful without me... She had orders.
How pathetic that she clung into those thoughts as mantra.
Hancock Park was hardly as stunning as Hyde Park; in fact, it was fairly dull and unsightly. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art had masterpieces of dubious importance and the tour guide lady’s screeching voice had her fled from the site as soon as soon as they reached Disney Hall. Nothing constructive seemed to have come from that trip, Integral looked up to the other fascinating attractions - La Brea Discoveries and The Tar Pits. She chose to enter the second option; the knight had it with these bleeding museums and sincerely she did not expect demons or monsters going after any of those discoveries. On the other hand, Asphalt was an ominous place to conceal their possible activities.
Although they have chosen lawyers to be their tools of evil, that is lacking originality, she mused while she picked up one of the pamphlets of the stands, noticing the young boy stationed there.
“Welcome to the La Brea Tar Pits tourist center! Would you like a map? Tours start in four--”
“Thank you, but I shall decline,” Integral replied quickly, cutting him off and taking a map and leaving fast before she attracted more of these cordial people who forced their help to her. The knight inhaled her cigar deeply and put it out before exiting the tourist centre. There weren’t many people. Hardly surprising the employees were so eager to please the few visitors. She noticed a man limping just before her; he was wearing one of those caps from the stand. Integral was exceedingly pleased she had taken her leave before they had forced one on her head as well.
