While Xander had spent plenty of time holed away in the Sunnydale High library, he could honestly say that he hadn't spent too much time exploring the few that resided within L.A. He never had been much of a book person (unless one counted comic books), so taking the time to go on and visit a place ridden with them hadn't exactly been in any of his plans until today. There wasn't much that he could do around here aside from provide moral support, so it was a good thing that he had stepped up to the plate and offered a new arrival a little bit of help. Sure, he couldn't jump off of tall buildings and survive, but at least he could go out of his way to help situate someone who obviously wasn't accustomed to the way of life in the big city. He needed that. Helping someone, while he was trying to get over his depression, was something that would make life a little better for him. Xander needed to feel like he was doing something important. Because really, when one was locked away inside of a hotel full of heroes that feeling generally tended to come along quite often.
Hands shoved into the pockets of his jeans, Xander rounded a street corner and quickly took note of the library not too far ahead of him. Places like that usually tended to stick out when rammed between the average looking buildings that Los Angelas contained, so he didn't even think twice before turning in that direction and wandering up to the set of stairs that led into the building. There were a few people wandering in and out of the area, but there was only one person who lingered and she instantly caught his attention. She said she'd be outside, didn't she? He could only hope that he was getting ready to approach the right person. Clearing his throat a little, Xander pulled a hand from his pocket and offered her a small sort of wave. "Uh, you're looking for work, right?" He frowned a little. "That's probably not coming out right, considering that we're kind of on a street corner and I'm a guy and you're a girl. But in my defense? You don't look skanky at all. And hopefully I'm talking to the right person here." Sometimes Xander didn't even know why he started talking. "Lucy, right?"
