Clark was appreciative of the lifted rule about going out alone. He could handle himself, really. Since the sun had come back some time ago, he was just as good, or better, than he had been for a while. He had been helpful in assisting with Buffy's rescue.. and here he was, going back to the streets again. It seemed like there would always be a need for that.
He found himself walking among the citizens during the morning hours. He was planning on staking out a vampire nests or two, figuring it would be easier than doing it at night. He was also curious if there had been any victims the night before; vampires were known to target the homeless as much as any other victim.
Then he heard yet another homeless person ranting. Being cursed, begging for money.. sounded similar to many other things a hobo might say. So, being the good guy that he was, walked over to the man. He reached into his pocket for a $10 bill and extended it toward the man. "Here. This ought to get you a decent meal. You know.. there is a shelter not far from here. It's safer at night."
