Ben arrived the next morning, as instructed, upon the buildings opening. With a large smile plastered on his face he walked straight up to the receptionist carrying a briefcase and a small cage containing a white rat.
"Good morning, Lex Luthor is expecting me?"
"Your name please?"
"Benjamin Linus." He said, setting down the cage for a moment. From his jacket sleeve he palmed his small weapon, readying himself for any negative actions from the petite woman. Not that he wanted to use force to see Mr. Luthor, but he hated it when people lied to him.
"Penthouse. Elevators are straight back through there. Welcome, Mr. Linus." She forced her usual smile. Ben flashed his again, tucking away the contents of his palm and picking up the cage. "Thank you."
It was a quick trip up to the top floor. He stepped out into the large office suite for Luthor himself.
"I have to admit... it looked smaller in the books, Mr. Luthor. But impressive, none the less." He smiled, placing down the cage once again. "Forgive me for bringing my friend here, but she's going to be very important for what I plan to show you in terms of what my company is researching."
