"For. Real?" For a moment, Max forgot about the Tall Dark and Stupids following behind her and her certain monetary issues. A wide and sincere grin came to her lips as she looked the kid up and down with new appreciation. "Wait... so who're you? I've talked to a lot of people on the message boards. There's nothing else to do here, even with the computers being so slow."
It wasn't the same as really knowing someone here, but at least it was a familiarity. Max was perfectly comfortable with beginning relationships online. Whoever said it wasn't healthy?
"And, uh, unless you want to test your whole, two seconds or less theory, we might want to start walking..." With a glance back to the door she realised that the four had finally found her bright pink head and were staring right at it. Maybe it was time to go back to brown... or something.
"So, you're not the one who didn't know what video games were, are you?" she asked, making a face. "Because if you are, I apologise in advance for not being able to go back in the arcade to enlighten you, which so obviously needs to be done. But we can come back another time."
