The first thing upon entering that caught Eve’s attention was the brightly colored chalk used to write the specials of the day on a black board . The café owner as it happened had a great eye for details. Rather than the words themselves she concentrated on the colors. Orange was not a favored color so coffee and tea were off the list, as were yellow, purple and the rest of the foods they represented. The third choice from the bottom however, under the ‘kids special’s section written in pink was the ‘Grilled Cheese Special’ something Eve thought, she might be fond of.
“This one?” She asked pointing at her choice. “Please Rani?”
The ‘I’ll tell you’ whatever you want’ went without saying. She was no stranger to doing things, sometimes things she hated doing to acquire the things she needed. If this was the only thing the Rani wanted in return obliging was a given.
