Neither Katara nor Peter had been giving any warning that they were going to be handed the reigns to Angel Investigations. As such, neither was really prepared for the responsibility and, Katara was pretty sure at least, in Peter's case didn't necessarily want it. However, they both seemed to have decided to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Katara could only hope that it was going to be a short term assignment thought because, honestly, she didn't think she could handle being in charge for very long.
Of course, she kept reminding herself, most leaders didn't really think they could lead. In fact those who thought they could often turned out to be pretty bad at it. So maybe she and Peter would be just what the team needed. Provided they could figure out how to start.
Ultimately, it was Peter who made that call and sent out the order for the groups to go rescue Buffy. Once he'd done that, Katara had made a quick trip to see Cordelia and had asked the Seer to join both her and Peter in the office. She then sent a mental message to Peter, letting him know that they needed to meet in a few minutes.
It was time to figure a few things out. Namely, how Cordelia's visions could best be handled, and what, if any, ideas the other woman might have for the group she'd been a part of since the beginning.
Heading into the office, the waterbender glanced around and heaved a heavy sigh. "Get it together, Katara," she murmured softly to herself. "You can do this." I hope, she tacked on silently before turning back to the open door with what she hoped passed for a at least somewhat confident expression... and waited for her new co-boss and their Seer to arrive for this little impromptu meeting.
