Jaina was having a hard go of it at the moment. While Anakin's injuries were taken care of it and he had gotten some much needed rest to regain his strength, she was still worried about him. The thought of losing him - that she already had lost him, in fact - was weighing heavy on her heart. Not to mention his constant presence in the Force was both comforting and painful for her. He was her brother and she took strength in the fact that he was here, but by his being here, it was even more obvious to her that Jacen wasn't. And that hurt more than she could really put into words.
Deciding she needed some time to herself, the young Jedi had taken off for parts of the city unknown. She'd walked for what felt like hours, until the sun was starting to dip below the horizon and the first signs of dusk filled the sky, mostly unnoticed and definitely unapproached, until she'd found an area that wasn't bustling with people. Slipping into an alley, she'd climbed up the fire escape and had finally settled herself into a bout of meditation. It wasn't her most favorite thing to do, not by a long shot, but she needed to get her thoughts back in order and on the real issue. Anakin's death was troubling. Jacen's absence hurt. But Exar Kun was still a very real threat and, while she was flailing about dealing with emotions, he was growing stronger with every passing day.
She wasn't sure how long she'd been there but dusk had long since come and gone and the moon hung high overhead - nearly full and shining brightly down upon the city - when she was yanked forcibly from her trance-like state and back into reality. Her eyes snapped open and a gasp of sheer horror passed her lips at the fury that surged through the Force that felt so wholly unfamiliar and foreign to her that it almost hurt.
On her feet in an instant, her several hours of meditation allowing her to shield herself within the Force to the point of being nearly invisible, she leapt over the side of the fire escape and took to running as soon as her feet hit the ground. Skidding around a corner, the violet hue of the blade on her lightsaber instantly disappeared at the sight that greeted her eyes.
