Jaina nodded her head, having no idea just how blank his memories of himself were. How could she know? She barely knew anything about his, aside from the name he'd offered and the abilities she'd gleamed from his conversations on the message board.
Figuring that a local diner would likely offer the best in hot food that would be of halfway decent nutritional value, she took a left at the corner and made her way toward one she'd spotted on her way into this area of the city. When they reached it, Jaina looked to the man once more.
"I'll be right back. Stay here, okay?" she stated, offering him a smile before heading inside the diner.
It was mostly deserted save for a waitress behind the counter and an old man dozing lightly in a booth in the far corner. It took very little time for Jaina to place her order and she left a few moments later with the food and drinks.
"Here we go," she announced as the door swung closed behind her, glancing around for Mantis and hoping that a simple meal of soup and sandwiches would be enough. She didn't trust half the food listed on the menu and the other half just wasn't very appealing to her.
