"Is Jack ever around when you need him?" Suzie muttered, more to herself than anyone else. She'd moved to the back of the room, giving the Time Lords a wide berth, and had fallen silent when the Doctor had vetoed the idea of weaponry. Pacifism was all very well, but they were facing a man who, by all accounts, had no qualms against killing or maiming. They couldn't afford to take the moral high ground, not if they wanted Ianto back in any semblance of wholeness.
But that wasn't her place to say, was it? She was here on sufferance, and she was still a problem.
