Once Will was back aboard the Dutchman, he felt the faintest bit of relief, as if he had strayed too long from where he truly belonged. The thought was a bit depressing as he thought of eternity and duty stretching out before him. The adventure was almost a welcome change of pace from the normal quiet.
He smiled slightly at Tia's exclamation and leaned back against the rail to wait for the others to arrive. The first was Jack, who didn't quite seem as excited as Will was. "Come aboard, Jack. I think you'll find her a different ship from the past," he called, a hint of amusement in his voice.
It wasn't too long after that Katara and a young man he assumed to be Connor appeared. "Good morning, Katara and Connor! Permission granted," he called down, stepping back from the rail to send his crew to the motions that would take them out to sea. The less time they wasted, the better for their friends.
