"You know," Lucifer called out as he approached slowly, "it's never a good idea to fall asleep in the middle of an open beach. Not that I'm telling you what to do or anything. It's just a bit of friendly advice."
The fallen angel moved closer before kneeling down in the sand a fairly good distance away from the girl. It really wasn't any of his business what she was doing, but somehow he felt a curious need to find out just why she was there. "Nightmare? I've dealt with my fair share of them."
"Especially considering that Astaroth specializes in giving them to people and exploiting their fears," Lucifer thought to himself, "but that's another story entirely."
Lucifer brushed his hand through his dark hair and kept his grey-green eyes on her face. "She's a pretty one. Although she does remind me of someone I knew..." Shaking the memory away, he stood up.
