There were supremely powerful beings in this city, she could tell. People that most likely felt the way that she did about walking amongst humans. She was a celestial maiden. A heavenly being whose place was among the divine. And yet she was in a mortal body living among powerless human beings who had, in the past, prayed to and worshipped her. It was no wonder she was so mad about it. The only thing that could take her mind off it was to seek out those like her. Or similar to her.
The demons and vampires were no threat to her. Hardly a challenge at all. No matter how big they were, it took only the smallest fraction of her power to dispatch of them. It grew tiresome, not having anyone or anything powerful enough to pose a real threat. At least before she had those girls of the C-Project to fight. Girls infused with her own DNA and had her powers. They had been a challenge. A shame that none of them were still alive now.
Still not touching the ground, Ceres levitated just above the ground, her senses seeking. She noticed the presence of another with great power nearby. It did not surprise or startle her when the woman appeared ahead of her in a crackle of white light and energy. Magic.
She alighted softly and stood there, taking the woman in. Golden eyes studied her intently. A witch, or sorceress as they sometimes liked to be called. Interesting. Ceres' violet locks were fanned out around her as if blowing in a gentle breeze, even though there wasn't one. Hands at her sides. It was a neutral posture, one not meant as a threat.
"You are one who holds great power," she said, not a question, but a statement. "A witch, I take it?"
