Davy screamed by his betrayal. He allowed himself to be fooled. He allowed himself to be swayed by the idea of ownership of his beloved vessel....
He didn't bother to face the being any longer. He turned and stormed back into the elevator, reappearing back in the lobby. Anyone who dared to get in his path was immediately snapped in half by his claw. Once he exited, the building began to rumble again, only now it came from below.
Pipes burst. Sinks exploded. The concrete around the building began to crack and bulge as something beneath the foundation of the tower took root. Office kitchens and toliets overflowed with inky saltwater until Davy, outside, twitched his face.
The tremors stopped. The entire block seemed to sigh in relief for a split second until the concrete exploded with large tentacles from non-other than the Son of the Kraken. It thrust his arms into the office windows; pillaging and destroying as many people (many who were attempting to escape) as it could while the rest of his arms took firm hold along the length of the tower. The building then began to implode upon itself as it quickly sank into the large mouth of the very angry sea-beast. In a matter of minutes, the building and everyone inside were gone leaving nothing but the large body of the beast and the crater that it laid in.
A few minutes after that, the beast burrowed back into the labyrinth it had carved in the weeks leading to this moment and was gone completely.
Davy twitched his face again and broke out into a bitter smile. He removed a pipe from his coat and began to walk away. At least now he knew that William Turner had arrived to this forsaken city... and William Turner had somewhere hidden a beating heart that needed to be destroyed.
