"Naw, James always liked the vids more than me, anyhow," Al shrugged, though his tone was fond from the memories. Granted as a young boy he hadn't much liked going to see his uncle the Muggle world, but he'd developed an appreciation for him as he'd grown a bit older.
Perplexed wasn't even a strong enough word, really, when his father laughed at the sight of the books. Harry's reaction, in fact, downright baffled his son, almost to the point of his jaw falling open in shock and surprise. He managed to maintain his composure, though, and instead found himself smiling a bit in reply. It felt as though some kind of weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he now wondered why he'd been so hesitant to mention it before. Really, in the grand scheme of things, this wasn't half as strange as some of the other things he'd already explained.
"There's one more," he answered as he moved to the edge of one of the two full-sized beds. "I'm guessing that one will talk about the Hallows, and mentioned your beating Voldemort. Half-Blood Prince seems to end off right after Professor Dumbledore died." His face scrunched a bit at that, remembering some of the back-dated logs he'd read on the message board.
"So of course, everyone who isn't from after you beat Voldemort or who haven't read the books, is convinced Snape is evil. Uncle Ron especially." Al shook his head, then flashed his father another smile. "Though I reckon now that you're here, maybe you can set him straight if mum hasn't convinced him yet." That thought made him feel a little better. Seeing his uncle act like such a prat to the man he was named after didn't sit well with Al at all.
