"Yeah.." The word was spoken with a nod of approval to follow. "I'll see if she wants to come over later." It would give him a chance to catch up with the only semblance of family that he had close to him. It wasn't that he was alone here, far from it, but he'd never been this far away from the people he had grown up with. But there were new friends in Los Angeles, and Elle was there to help him out with anything, so the transition had been as smooth as possible, considering the circumstances.
All of it was definitely for later though, he didn't want to get caught up thinking about the future, especially when the present was so enticing. He grabbed one of the small containers and held it out for her. "Lo Mein...best noodles, you'll like them." There was still a smile on his lips, it was nice to sit there and enjoy dinner with his girlfriend, even if something like that seemed trivial. They hadn't been blessed with a lot of chances to do this so far, so you had to take advantage of it while you could.
"I even got us some fortune cookies, but you can't have that 'til after." Peter gave a small shrug of his shoulders and flashed her a half smile. "Takes the fun out of it otherwise."
