Elle took in a deep breath, this was not easy. She had to be tactful about it, something that she admittedly was not terrific at. She was still very socially inept, but Peter...he made her feel good, like she could do anything. She was very fond of him. So telling him all about her messed up life, it wasn't easy.
She took his hand with one of her own, and looked up at him. "Peter, I love you. I said it when I was dying, and I haven't said it since, but it's true, I love you. I didn't say it again...because I was scared of losing you." She was terrified of that all the time.
"I've never had this, Peter. A relationship...a love. But there is something... The other Peter, when he healed me, he didn't just heal my body, he healed some gaps in my memory from when I was a child..." This was hard, she scooted a little closer.
"I know that I've hurt you before, Peter." She said, her bottom lip quivering a little. "I've killed, I've done some awful things...and this doesn't excuse them, but when I was little my father...did a lot of experimenting on me. With my powers...I passed out, my nose bled, but he kept going. I was...seven." She didn't know what else to say. She really hoped the other Peter was happy, because she was so terrified that she was shaking.
