"Car?" Jaina repeated, brow furrowed slightly. When had a car factored into any of this? She didn't remember any mention of a car, before. Realizing she was deliberately trying to think of something besides what was taking place, she forced herself to re-focus with a mild shake of her head.
Standing, she managed a few steps before stumbling slightly. She wasn't just weakened from the injury, but the fight itself had taken a lot out of her as well. More than she'd originally thought, it would seem. Still, she stuck close to her brother and managed to continue moving forward, each step getting a little more difficult than the last.
"I want you to promise me something, Jacen," Jaina spoke up after a minute. She turned her unusually pale-skinned face toward his, her brown eyes searching her twin's as she added, "I want you to promise you won't go after him. Not because of me, not in vengeance. I... can't lose you. I just can't."
