Bella had all but stopped paying attention to the computer in front of her as she anxiously waited for Edward to arrive. Even though she had been with him mere moments before ending up in Los Angeles, it felt as though years had passed while she'd sat here and waited for his reply to her message.
Spotting him the moment he entered, a brilliant smile filled her face and she rose to her feet, moving toward him as quickly as she dared move with so many chairs and feet and other various things cluttering the floor. As soon as she was in front of him she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. His cool skin was like a balm to her frazzled nerves and all Bella wanted to do was stand there and rejoice in the fact that he was here.
After a moment, though, she regretfully took a step back and her arms went back to her sides. "What are we doing here?" was the first question out of her mouth, followed almost immediately with, "Is anyone else here too?"
