The car ride back to Adam's apartment wasn't too long. He let Rocky do most of the talking, happy to just sit and listen, to be in his presence. When Rocky suggested opening a martial arts studio, Adam explained how he had a dojo running back home. "I hope my students are all right," he sighed, playing with the strings of his hoodie.
"Dude, that sucks...we gotta fix that," he responded to Rocky's morphing situation. He knew how he felt when he had difficulty morphing and he didn't want that feeling ever again; he was determined to change that for his friend.
They reached home not too long afterwards and Adam did a quick tour of the small one-bedroom so that Rocky could sleep as soon as possible. He pointed out the shower and refrigerator in the event he was hungry or needed to shower. He also made Rocky take the bed, no matter how hard he fought to claim the couch. Adam wanted his first night here to be comfortable and for him to rest up. Not like he hadn't fallen asleep in front of the TV before on the couch anyway. He wished his friend a good night's rest and hugged him once more, expressing again how happy he was to have his best friend in L.A.
