Veronica could almost feel Logan’s confusion. It was the same when she came here. She’d had so many questions, and she was fighting like hell to get back home. But eventually, she’d accepted it. This was the way it was, and maybe she was here for a reason. She had to believe that it would be the same for Logan. But there was something that she hadn’t thought of until this very moment. She didn’t know how Logan would deal with her new…abilities, if he could accept them. She wasn’t the same girl he knew back in Neptune anymore, how would he handle that? She decided right now was not the time to get into it, there would be another time, when she was stronger.
For now, she wrapped her arms around his neck, as he carried her down the hall towards the bathroom. After her shower, she just wanted to fall into bed and not wake up for a long time, or at least until the morning. She wasn’t crying anymore, that was something, right? “Thanks, Logan.” Veronica told him. Things with them were far from perfect, but she didn’t want to talk about it right now. She just wanted to be there with him, and let him hold and comfort her. They could discuss what he’d been up to later, and then she would tell him about her.
