Alucard gazed at Integral for several moments before finally deciding on a reply. It had not been a decision he could think long on at the time. The peaceful feeling had been far too overwhelming to ignore. It had been something that deep within he had long for over the centuries. How could he really explain that to her. She was still human, still young and though she had been through much, it was still only a small fraction of what he had experience.
"Integra," he had said her name again. "I am sorry that I left you, but I did not leave you alone. I knew Seras would be a faithful servant to you in my stead. This place is not my doing nor my decision. I do not sense Seras, but I do sense other more sinister things about. While we are here. I still serve you."
He had meant what he said. He did care very much for Integral as more then merely his Master. Though he would never voice that part aloud.
