Those were the last words Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing was able to utter before she was mysteriously spirited away from devastated sight within the Deus Ex Machina into a murky alley between the skyscrapers of an unknown city. It was dark, tumultuous grey clouds covered the sky and did not allow a single moonbeam pass through its darkness. The rain splashed her puzzled features, washing over the grim, dried blood and sweat from her face and clothes.
What is this?!
“Major!” cried out the knight, her arms shaking in rage. He could not hear his voice mocking her situation but she was sure he would be taunting her plight, stationed on his chair. She hoped Seras would carry out her commands and rip his bloody heart out! Grinding her teeth, she moved into a clearer place, on a dimly illuminated street and surveyed her surroundings.
This wasn’t – simply couldn’t be- London. It didn’t smell to the blood and the death; the buildings were still standing and it was night. When Integral left her position, daylight was breaking in the sky. The dawn arrival was the last thing Alucard…
The last thing he saw.
She removed her glasses and refused to dwell about it, to allow the grief overwhelm her good senses when she had a war to win. She would mourn him later, as she would bury all her dead in the graveyard that had become the proud Capital of England.
Feeling her sense of loss quench slightly, Integra removed her glasses, moistened by the rain and making the sights indistinguishable, and started to move again. She needed cared nothing about sheltering herself from water, but instead looked for answers… and means to return to Seras Victoria’s side.
