Romana led him though the maze keeping hold of his arm as she went. He looked a positive wreck. She could mostly understand but his affinity for humans was still not something she could wrap her head around. However she knew what ti was to have her hearts ache for fear of losing someone or seeing them harmed.
She had to check a few doors before finally finding the room she was looking for. The library was always a place she found comfortable. Surrounded by knowledge, a reminder of the worlds around them past and present written down, even the smell of the old books soothed her when she needed it. She had spent a good bit of time in this room herself when she first fell through to this world.
Romana helped the Doctor out of his suit jacket and removed his tie. She went so far as to unbutton the top two buttons of his shirt and the cuffs rolling them back a bit. Sometimes she felt he wore his clothing as an armor to keep so much out or worse keep it in. Finally she took a seat on the couch putting a pillow in her lap patting it. "Come take a load off. Talk if you want. I promise to be a sounding board and not offer up a lecture or anything else." it would be a hard promise to keep but a right one. There would be time for smacking sense into him later.
