Sylar had been more than happy to hang back and bide his time, listening to the numerous introductions. This was turning out to be even more interesting than he had first thought...if any of it was true, that is. Since first learning of his abilities from Chandra Suresh, Sylar had seen all sorts of amazing things. But wizards? Witches? The Antichrist?? It was all a bit too much to swallow.
But, then again, he had been brought to a whole other world by Wolfram & Hart, something he never would have thought possible just weeks ago. Perhaps it was too soon to write-off all he was hearing here. And, besides, if even just some of these stories were true, it could be good news for him. After all, this was a room positively brimming with power...power that could maybe be his, when the time was right. Of course, that time was right now, since he certainly was in no mood to try to take on the whole room at once.
Plus, there was the fact that this was starting to sound like a potentially beneficial arrangement. For one thing, Sylar felt oddly comfortable here. He had spent most of his recent past on the run, or in hiding from authorities. He was confident that would no longer be the case. It wasn't like any of these people were going to be calling the police or FBI on him, and if W&H had the resources to gather this group, then certainly they had the resources to keep the law off his back.
Sylar smirked as Tony Montana spoke...this man was the first who felt familiar to Sylar. Having grown up in New York City, he had encountered characters like this before, and he felt a momentary pang of nostalgia for his past.
This feeling quickly vanished, however, when he noticed that Montana had stopped talking and many of the room's eyes had turned towards him. Well, he supposed he would have to get this over with sooner or later.
"My name is Sylar. I'm no wizard, no warlock, no devil...well, some might argue that one. All you need to know about me is that I am special. I'm used to working alone, so I still haven't made up my mind about this whole...whatever it is. But hey..." Sylar's grin grew even larger. "I'm always open to new experiences."
