"I'll tell mom to start writing up your farewell speech just as soon as we get home," Jaina stated, then she was following him into the canyon and increasing her speed.
The Falcon was currently ahead, but she wasn't too worried about it. Scanning the area, she spotted a place where she could make her move to pass him.
Finding the perfect location, she drew away from the rear of her father's ship and cut sharply to the right, to a pile of boulders that were resting precariously on the edge of the canyon wall. There was a space between them, just barely big enough for her X-Wing. With a grin and a gleam in her eyes, Jaina gunned the accelerator and zoomed through the spot at speeds fast enough to make the boulders collapse in her wake.
That brought her up alongside the other ship and she rose higher, cutting hard to the right again and rolling once. She righted herself just in time to zip through another barely-wide enough section off the beaten path and this time, emerged out in front of the Falcon.
"So, you were saying something about retiring? Because I'm pretty sure you promised me your ship when that fateful day finally comes and I have to say, I'm definitely not getting any younger."
