Jaina had just finished making the last of the necessary repairs on her X-Wing and had decided to take it out for a test flight. Breaking through the Earth's atmosphere was both an exhilarating and slightly depressing endeavor. It felt great to be flying again, but it was a reminder of just how very far from home she really was. It had gotten to the point that she wasn't even doing scans for other ships in the area. It just served to frustrate her every time one came back empty.
Heading back to Earth - her ship automatically being pulled by some unseen force in the general vicinity of Los Angeles, she decided to do a quick fly by on the off chance she had somehow missed something important the last time she'd flown over the booming Metropolis. As it turned out, it was a good decision on her part for no sooner had she neared the Santa Monica Mountain Park did she finally, at long last, spot another ship.
Not just any ship either, she realized as a large grin filled her face. It was the Falcon!
"About time," she muttered with a fond shake of her head as she dropped her X-Wing into a tailspin then drew it level once more, now flying directly beside her father's beloved ship. The grin was still on her face and she did a slight wiggle of happiness in her chair. In no time at all now, she was going to be reunited with her father, because as everyone (even the people on this planet) knew, wherever the Millennium Falcon might be, Han Solo was right there with her.
