After dispatching the third of the attacking beasts, Jacen Force jumped away from the incoming horde and onto the heavy dumpster he had turned into an impromptu projectile earlier to take a head count of how many more had to be disposed of before he could some answers. About ten more, give or take.
The beasts roared with anger at his temporary retreat, then charged the dumpster, intent on killing him. Leaping over the first of the creatures that had reached his elevated spot, he soared above the pack, then landed to its rear. Taking advantage of their momentary distraction, he slashed out the knees of the two monsters in the back, retreating as the two fell to the ground screaming.
The pack charged him, ignoring their wounded comrades. "That won't do..." Using the Force, Jacen turned the two injured creatures into missiles, slamming them into the back of the pack, causing more distraction and chaos as the uninjured creatures fell upon their wounded and biting friends.
That still left the front half of the pack after him. Standing his ground, Jacen evaded the leading creature's slash, then countered with an in-close slash that left the beast missing his arm from the elbow down. Then a second creature attacked, so he ducked, slashed out its knees, and rolled away as a third one punched the ground in an attempt to squash him.
Just as he came out of his roll, he felt his sister's distress right before she called out to him for help. Stealing a glance to where Jaina was, he spotted her, pinned against a wall, dangling a good three feet in the air. He returned his eyes to his designated enemies, assessing the pack. Well, he didn't really need his lightsaber anyway, right? There were plenty of heavy things to throw around. He just had to keep his distance.
Turning his back on the beasts as they prepared to strike at him again, Jacen threw his lightsaber, using the Force to guide it in midair to cut off the arm of the offending beast that was holding his sister . As his sister fell, he turned off his lightsaber, and more or less aimed it at her hand, hoping he didn't end up bonking her on the head with it.
All of that action had taken only a few heartbeats, which gave him just enough time to throw himself to the side as another beast attempted to cut him up worse than a Rodian thug in Nar Shadaa. This time, his roll was a little less perfect, and he ended up hitting his head against a wall.
"...ow." Shaking his head to clear his eyes, he looked at the incoming pack. Without a second thought, Jacen ran to the street, where there would be more space for him to duck and roll. He paused when he saw that there were parked vehicles that ran on wheels rather than repulsorlifts up and down the street. He smiled as he realized just how many projectiles he had now.
