MAGIC USERS
There was commotion all over the lobby of the Hyperion, people discussing what needed to be done, which group they belonged to, how impossible the odds were. They were sorting themselves out, as he anticipated, beginning to discuss the strategy involved in defending the perimeter, or guessing as to what kind of spell would need to be performed. Each person would serve their own role in this battle, they would do what they could, and as a collective, Angel believed that it was going to be enough. What he was asking of them was more than he should be entitled to, and if he hadn't truly believed all of them were willing to fight for a better tomorrow, then he would have never found himself standing in lobby in front of them all. The hour was theirs, he knew that, and it was time to make things right, no matter what the personal cost was.
"Clear the area." The voice that Angel used was more than loud enough to be heard by all of the inhabitants of the hotel, without quite being a yell, he had simply wanted to get his message across. For a moment he disappeared from the area all together, moving into his office, searching for what he knew was already there. When he returned, there was a book tucked under his arm, the Stone of Refazort in one hand, and a jar filled with power in the other. He let the book rest on the ground, setting the stone on top of it, before sliding the lid off of the jar. With the power inside of it, he drew a large circle on the lobby floor, and then started to create a symbol inside of it. The symbol was strange, it would look forward to most, as it was a Zoroastrian sign. If the spell were performed right, a portal would open within the circle, and it would lead him to the place where the sun could be returned.
Angel stepped out of the circle, making sure not to disturb the power, and then turned to face all of those who had decided they belonged to the second group. "All right, you're all here because you believe you're better suited to help with the magic part of this plan. Believe me when I say I'm going to need all of your help." He picked up the book and stone, flipping it open, straight to one of the pages he had marked. Inside the book there were white sheets of paper with copies of the spell, something he had done earlier. He handed it to Paige, telling her to distribute to the rest of the group. "It's a Latin incantation, something you've probably all seen before. There's one catch. While you're saying it, you're going to feel something, a force pushing against you. The symbol on the ground is the Zoroastrian destructive spirit. It's not going to be easy, but I need you all to concentrate on the spell, keep saying the incantation, stay focused...no matter what."
