Clark knew as good as anyone how much the yellow sun was vital here. It provided warmth and life. It made him much more than a mortal man, with abilities that he used to help a friend in trouble. But without it? He was just as vulnerable as everyone else. Plants couldn't grow. Beasts and demons who were held at bay during daylight, had now grown bold and walked the streets freely.
So, he knew that the world needed the sun. He promised himself that he would at least do something to help out in restoring it. And so, he stood in the lobby, holding a sword he'd borrowed from the weapon rack. The poison was gone from his system.. all he needed was to be exposed to the sun's rays outside the city, and he was as good as new.. mostly. That was a day or so ago.
He wasn't completely invincible, but he was strong enough to handle a few bad guys. He could handle a bullet or blunt trauma.. though it might leave a slight bruise. Also, he had used weapons before, when he faced off against the evil witch Isobel in China.
Clark spoke up, "I'm with the second group.. with the defense." He would work with the others in that same group, following any instructions given by Wes. As he stood there, ready, he hoped that his 'Justice' friends were here to fight beside him as well..
