Jaina nodded. It was the first time she'd heard too much mention of the battle that had happened, aside from what she'd read on the message boards. Most people didn't like talking about it, or didn't know what had really taken place. So she listened fairly intently, taking note of all he'd said.
"I've been told not to join into a couple of scraps before, too," she offered with a slight shrug and grin in his direction. "Though I didn't usually listen. Which typically led to long lectures from my Uncle Luke about responsibility and following orders and staying out of trouble instead of going looking for it." She shook her head slightly, though even with the annoyance there was still a great deal of respect in her tone for the man.
"It's a couple of blocks up, on the right. The only hotel around that's not in pieces, actually. And, hey, if you can get us there faster, I'm all for it," she stated. Jaina was growing more and more curious about the Omnitrix with every passing moment. The sooner they got to her room, the sooner she could learn more about it. And the sooner the odds of them coming across any trouble would drop significantly. Not that he couldn't hold his own in a fight - with that gadget, she was sure he could - but the more he used it, especially around her, the better chance Exar Kun would sense it. She would rather avoid that at all costs.
