Who: Gaia Moore + OPEN Where: A park somewhere and then the streets of LA When: Today What: Gaia falls into old habits of looking for bad men to teach a lesson Warnings: Language, violence
Gaia pulled the black toque down over her hair a little more snugly. The worst thing about LA shrouded in eternal darkness? The fact that it was damn cold. Even more so now with the constant mist of rain that fell. She glanced around the mostly deserted park, scanning the area for her particular brand of man, the kind that liked to prey on pretty young things like her. The kind that needed to be brought down a notch.
She idly wondered what time it was, but didn it even matter what time it was? Like was now one big ball of darkness. Darkness and confusion. She didn't understand this place. And it didn't help that she had no luck trying to phone NY, Ed was unreachable and so was Sam. Probably back in Heather's bony arms no doubt, she thought bitterly.
The sound of someone screaming a few yards away brought Gaia out of her self pitying thoughts and she took out in a run towards the sound. Which really was not a normal action for a seventeen year old girl. But Gaia was not a normal seventeen year old girl. She grinned a little to herself, feeling the familiar surge of pure adrenaline rushing through her viens. Lately it seemed that this was the only time she really felt alive, felt anything for that matter. She was starting to think that maybe fear wasn't the only thing she didn't feel anymore.
"Get off the lady already," she called out to the mugger who had an older woman in their grasp. When he snapped his head up to look at her Gaia couldn't help but gasp. In surprise mind you, not fear, never fear. "What the..." she let trail off as she took in the bumpy features and fangs.
"Lookie here, someone prettier has come to play," he, dropping the woman (who promplty ran for her life) and advanced on Gaia.
Gaia raised a brow at the pair, "what the hell is wrong with your face? That's fucking ugly man," she said, easily falling into a defensive stance where she stood.
"Ohhh... a comedian," vampire said and lunged at her.
The vampire was faster than the average person she was used to, but Gaia still had no trouble in reaching up for his chest and throwing him over his intended target. Falling in a heap he growled, "bitch," he cursed at her.
He got up quickly came towards her and she gave him a swift kick, the business end of her boot connecting with the center of his chest. She laughed somewhat as he stumbled backwards. "Still looking for a good time?" she asked, a grin toying on her lips, that prompltly faded as he recovered far quicker than she expected.
In her shock as he recovered instantly again she managed to miss the lunge, and he got both arms around her, leaning in. "What the fuck?" she all but yelled at she felt teeth press into the side of her neck. She thrust herself forward, taking the vampire off balance and he toppled off her back and onto the ground. Gaia pressed a hand to her neck and pulled it away, the blood warm on her neck. "Are you fucking insane?" She asked, her eyes wide.
"Just a vampire, lady," he said from his place on the ground and got up to attack once more. Gaia countered by kicking high and connecting her heel to the center of his throat, sending him flying back.
As he stirred once more Gaia realized she had no idea how to win the fight. She hated the thought but she turned and ran out of the park, too fast for him to follow. Vampires... what the fuck. This place was getting more and more insane by the minute. As she broke out of the park and back into the street she slowed her movements. She let out a long breath and felt the post fight blackout creep up on her. Quickly she darted into a side street and let her back hit the wall. She sunk to the ground and let the darkness swallow her up. Vaguely she hoped that she would wake up in NY, the last time she had blacked out she had woken up here after all.
