Morgan smiled slightly. "I probably will. So let's hope I don't mess it up and that I'm lucky." Though, it was true. She wasn't your average beginner witch. Not at all, actually, but that didn't mean she couldn't mess up a simple spell. Even the greatest minds sometimes slip up on the simplest of things.
Her hands still in her pockets, she listened to him talk. It all made sense. Had he not tacked on that bit at the end, she might have thought he was implying that she was stupid. He was getting better at not doing that and to go backwards after making such progress wouldn't have been good. "It's okay, I know you're not implying that I'm stupid. Consider the tip noted," she said, not angry or anything.
"Here goes." Morgan prepared herself to cast the spell, concentrating and focusing her magick and pretty much pushing all other thoughts from her mind.
"Gods of power, Gods of might, I bid you now, stop this plight, Stop the rain, we need no more, Let it fall, nevermore."
Hopefully it had worked. She stepped out into the falling rain and was delighted to find that she wasn't getting wet. "Cool," she said. Now hopefully the spell would hold up and not get her soaked.
