Had she wanted to piss him off, she could have stepped on the stuff. But that wasn't how she was feeling at the moment. Surprisingly he hadn't done anything in the past few days to set her off the edge. Surprisingly being the operative word. She couldn't help but smile when he talked about her purchases. "Um, yeah. I've never really been the shopping sort of girl. That was always Bree and my sister Mary K." To see him actually looking like he was having fun or joking around was a nice sight to see. You couldn't possibly be all business all the time? And yet it honestly seemed like Hunter was. From the look on his face, Morgan could tell that he just wanted to get to the spells in the lesson. Oh well.
"Simple's fine, I guess." Her voice didn't exactly sound to enthusiastic as she could tell he was trying not to mention Cal. "I was...but you're right. There's no harm in learning them again." Trying not to think about you-know-who, she set the shopping bag down and went to sit next to him on the couch. Walking around, even though she'd barely shopped, had made her a little tired. She wasn't exactly uncomfortable being so near to him anymore, so it wasn't like she was sitting miles away from him. Just not close enough to be generally...weird.
Listening, Morgan nodded. That would be a useful spell considering all of the strange things that happened in the city. As Hunter spoke, she listened to the words carefully. They probably wouldn't be too hard to remember anyway. Not actually performing the spell, she just repeated the words over again.
"Gods of power, Gods of might, I bid you now, stop this plight, Stop the rain, we need no more, Let it fall, nevermore."
"Um...so if I were to do that right now, how exactly would we test that it worked?"
[Ha, that's okay. It sounds good, so I guess that's what matters]
