Her eyes slid closed at the expected kiss, only to flutter back open at his words. Her brow furrowed a bit and she brought one of her own hands to the bandage, as though just remembering it was there. "I'm fine," she assured him with a light smile.
Stepping back a bit, she added, "Really, Zuko. A snake bit me, but Kristopher saved my life." She flushed a bit, glancing away before reluctantly tacking on, "He bit me, too. Took the venom out and into himself."
Her gaze went back to her boyfriend, almost shy as she gazed up at him. "If it weren't for him, I'm not sure I would have made it." There was fear there, now, the first time she'd allowed herself to really show any since this had all begun. She'd come closer to death earlier this evening than she could ever remember really coming. Even when facing off with Zuko when he'd been her enemy, she'd never really thought she would die. Today though... she had been reminded of the fact that she was a mortal. And it scared the hell out of her.
"I'm just so glad you're safe," she murmured, raising up on her toes to brush her lips lightly against his. "I was so worried, and after Willow..." She stopped there, not wanting to discuss it further. He was safe. She was safe. They had survived to fight another day. That was what mattered.
