Zuko smiled and wrapped his arms around her when she hugged him, the human contact making the fact that she survived that ordeal all the more believable. He was in a bit of a daze at the moment and after thinking that he...well, it's safe to say he was starting to doubt his surroundings. But, nothing could imitate the way she felt in his arms; her cool skin and light touch...not even his best memories could recreate such.
He looked left, then right, and was pleased to see that everyone around them seemed to be involved in their own little discussions and worlds. The former prince bent his head and placed his fingertips on her cheek, intent on stealing a quick kiss from her--when something caught his attention and he drew back.
His fingers trailed down her cheek and jaw to brush lightly against the bandage at her neck. Zuko's face fell and he balled the hand that wasn't touching her into a fist at his side.
