Katara's hands hesitated over the package of bandages that she'd gotten from Anne upon arriving. One hand went briefly to the spot on her neck and she flushed, her cheeks stained crimson and standing out obviously against her pale skin. "I was bitten by a snake," she answered, meeting Angel's gaze for a moment before dropping to her knees in front of him and gently moving the remains of his shirt out of the way of his wound.
She winced a bit at the sight of the damage, her stomach dropping clear to her toes. Clearing her throat, she pushed past her unease and nausea and began gently cleaning the wound.
"Kristopher was there with me. He... bit me, to get the venom out." Wiping away the blood, a small pile of already used bandages beginning to form on the ground beside her, she glanced back up at Angel and said pointedly, "He saved my life."
Having wiped away as much of the blood as possible, she began bandaging the wound. Antiseptic, Cordelia had once told her, was pointless to use on a vampire. The demon made certain infection didn't set in, all the person helping had to do was stop the blood loss, really.
"We have another problem," she added after a second, lips turned upward in a humorless smile as she sat back on her heels and looked at him for a moment. "Willow... she turned on us, I think. That's what people have been saying." Katara stopped there, not really sure what else to say. Guilt shone brightly in her eyes. She had, after all, been the one to seal the doors behind everyone. It was because of her that they hadn't been able to get back inside, and away from the dark witch who was attacking. It was her fault and if someone were to die because of it, Katara didn't think she could live with herself.
"You need to feed, don't you?" she asked a second later, trying to push aside her feelings and remain professional. People needed her right now. She could fall apart later, when no one would ever be the wiser. For now, she had to stay strong.
