Who: Tru Davies, NPC vampires, and OTA Where: An Alleyway When: April 6, 1:30 am What: Tru arrives in LA and is instantly attacked by a vampire Status: Incomplete Rating: TBA
Tru sat in the morgue office, working on organizing the files of all the bodies that had been collected over the past few months. It was a horribly boring job, but it had to be done. She was working on a spread sheet that classified everyone by name, the way the died, where they were found, and so on.
"Tru," a raspy voice suddenly called out from the other room.
Tru whirled around. No matter how many times she had gone through this, and probably would go through this - she didn't think she'd ever get used to it. She slowly got to her feet and left the office. In the middle of the other room, lying on a slab (but covered by a sheet), lay a young girl. Something about the girl's body had caught Tru's attention, but what exactly she wasn't sure. There was just...something.
Tru hesitated for a moment before pulling the sheet off the girl's face. Almost instantly the girl's eyes snapped open and locked with Tru's.
"Help me," she rasped. "Help us!"
The next second Tru found herself waking up on something very hard and very wet. Something that was not her bed, and not day time. Tru sat up quickly realizing that she was in an alley, and that it was pouring rain. She flicked wet hair out of her face, and looked around. This had never happened before, she was supposed to wake up in her bed, at the start of the day.
"This can't be good," Tru muttered softly to herself.
She reached for her cell phone. She needed to call Davis. She needed to tell him something had gone horribly wrong. Before she got the chance to call something hard hit her on the side of her head knocking her to ground.
"I love the new arrivals," a voice said from above her. "They are always the easiest targets."
A small chorus of laughter followed, clearly indicating that whoever Tru's attacker was, he wasn't alone. Tru winced, trying to clear her thoughts enough to stand or to kick or to do something.
It wasn't until someone grabbed her shoulder and forced her onto her back, her thoughts became clear. Someone was leaning over her pinning her to the ground. That someone also happened to have two very large and very pointy teeth - almost like fangs.
"Welcome to L.A. babe. Sorry you couldn't stay longer," the vampire smirked, leaning forward to bite Tru's neck.
